mainland Europe, commercial evaporative cooling is the standard
cooling method to cool large areas such as factories, and warehouses,
however, in this country they are still largely misunderstood. They
are typically and incorrectly compared to air conditioning and are usually regarded
with an over ambitious expectation of cooling performance. They are
very different from air conditioning in terms of performance and power
consumption, however, where the installation of air conditioning is
considered impractical or is not cost effective, then evaporative
cooling is an ready option that can take the 'edge' off from hot days
